Born in Dublin, raised in Belfast

Alistair trained at The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA) and is a former member of the National Youth Theatre, beginning his professional life at Theatre Projects.

Alistair has spent the past twenty five years as a Lighting Designer and Theatre Consultant, involving him in more than two hundred UK and International productions. From intimate workshops, through Repertory and West End, to large scale Arena and concert productions.

This has included work on the Novello, Geilgud, Noël Coward and Wyndhams Theatres in London’s West End and Nothern Stage, Newcastle for Cameron Mackintosh Consultants.

Alistair was the Assistant Lighting Designer on the London Productions of Sunset Boulevard – Adelphi Theatre, Crazy For You – Prince Edward Theatre, Copacabana – Prince of Wales Theatre, Five Guys Named Moe – European Tour, and for Cameron Mackintosh’s Oliver in Toronto.


Alistair has worked as the Senior Production Electrician on West End, Touring and International Productions including – The Witches of Eastwick – Theatre Royal Drury Lane, Sunset Boulevard, Mama Mia, Les Miserables – (Manchester, Paris and Madrid tour), Moby Dick, Oklahoma, Hey! Mr Producer, The Phantom of the Opera (tour), Oliver – UK tour, Toronto and Sydney, Australia and Miss Saigon (Original UK Tour).


Associate Lighting Design

Alistair has been Associate Lighting Designer on many major productions in The United Kingdom in the last twenty years.

As an Associate Designer he has experience in many different genres of the performing arts. His work has involved him in everything from Operas at the Royal Albert Hall, through large scale events to West End Musicals.
